Dripping Springs has launched a mountain bike team for the middle and high school under the direction of Lance Thornton and have begun to compete in meets. Their first meet was the Reveille Peak Reversal held at Reveille Park Ranch in Burnet. As a result the high school team finished 12th out of 21 schools with a total of 1660 points. The middle school placed 5th among 13 schools with 1783 points. Part of the skill involved in the races is the ability to repair your bike if it is damaged or a flat occurs so that one can finish the race and earn the points. Here are the results of the meet which includes place, time (races are different lengths) and points.
