Hello Everyone,
First, I just want to say that I am so grateful for everyone in our league and how hard you all work for the development of our Texas League youth. I love our Texas League community and am very honored to be in this leadership role.
I want everyone to know that we are closely monitoring the progression of COVID-19 and want to let you know where we stand. We absolutely understand that you are already dealing with fallout from this issue in your own personal, school, and work lives and that our decision will add to those impacts. Our priorities are safety and doing what we can to ensure that the Texas League will continue after this crisis passes. Please review this statement in detail.
1) The Troy Two Step on March 28th is canceled and will not be rescheduled.
2) The “season” is not cancelled. Pending additional guidance from your individual schools, various government agencies, NICA, or the situation on the ground in your area — you may continue to practice as teams through the remainder of the spring 2020 season.
3) We are monitoring evolving conditions and will either hold or cancel each race on an individual basis. We will give as much warning as we can via official Texas League communication channels (newsletter, website, Facebook, and Instagram) so PLEASE monitor these channels and share information among your teams.
4) There will be refunds available to anyone who has already paid for entry into races #3-5. Please use the form HERE to request a refund. All refunds for these prepayments must be requested by March 31, 2020. If you choose, you can donate the registration fees with the Texas League and take the amount as a tax deductible donation. Please note that races 4 and 5 are NOT canceled, but we want to give you the option for refund if you so choose.
5) We understand that this will make an impact on overall scoring, but please know that we are discussing these things and we will have to see how this situation unfolds in order and make championship scoring decisions as they come up.
6) Season registration fees are not refundable.
Please keep in mind that our season currently is not canceled, but we will need to continue to closely monitor the situation and make decisions on a race-by-race, basis.
We totally understand the uncertainty that is currently floating around and we hope that these steps we are taking can give you some peace of mind.While we may not be able to come together at Troy, you still have a bike and you should totally take it for a ride!
